Restaurant Private Hire – Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing our restaurant for your private event. We love helping people celebrate special occasions.

As the restaurant is part of our home, we carefully consider every booking to make sure it’s the right fit for both you and us. By confirming your booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Making a Booking

• The person making the booking and accepting responsibility for the event must be at least 21 years old.
• We reserve the right to accept or decline any booking, and to cancel a booking if necessary.
• Your booking is only confirmed once we have accepted it and received any required deposit.

2. Using the Venue

• The venue may only be used for the event and times that have been agreed.
• Please treat the venue with care and respect, and be considerate towards our staff, neighbours and the local community, particularly when leaving at the end of the evening.
• We do not allow excessive noise, disruptive behaviour, illegal drugs or any unsafe conduct.
• If we believe the behaviour of guests or suppliers makes it necessary, we reserve the right to end the event immediately.

3. Guest Numbers

• The maximum number of guests must be agreed in advance and must not be exceeded. Capacity limits are shown in Appendix A.
• Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• The person hiring the venue is responsible for the behaviour of all guests and any suppliers they have engaged.

4. Food, Drink and Entertainment

• You’re welcome to use your own caterers, DJs or entertainers, but we do ask that all external suppliers are approved by us beforehand.
• All alcohol consumed on the premises must be purchased from our bar. Unless we’ve agreed otherwise in advance, any alcohol brought onto the premises by guests or suppliers will be removed and disposed of.
• We reserve the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour gives cause for concern. This is both a legal requirement and part of our commitment to providing a safe environment for everyone.
• The bar closes at 11.30pm. Guests may have up to 30 minutes to finish their drinks, but no alcohol may be taken off the premises.
• Outdoor music, whether live or recorded, must finish by 7.00pm. Indoor music should always be kept at a reasonable level out of consideration for our neighbours and must finish by 11.30pm.

5. Looking After the Venue

• We know accidents can happen, so please let us know as soon as possible if anything is damaged or broken.
• The hirer will be responsible for the cost of any excessive damage, breakages or additional cleaning resulting from the event.
• Any decorations must be agreed with us beforehand and must not damage the building, furniture or fittings.

6. Safety

• Fire exits must be kept clear at all times.
• Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the building.
• Hazardous, flammable or illegal substances must not be brought onto the premises.

7. Payment and Cancellation

• A £50 deposit is required to secure your booking.
• The remaining balance must be paid at least two weeks before the event unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
• Deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within one month of the event.

8. Liability

• Personal belongings and vehicles are brought onto the premises entirely at their owner’s risk.
• We cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or injury arising from the event except where we are legally required to do so.

9. Access

• We may enter the venue at any time during your hire if this is necessary for safety, security or the operation of the premises.

10. Acceptance

By confirming your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
