Sunday Lunch Menu December 2019

Arrival to a glass of sherry or festive fizz, Christmas cheer and Christmas crackers!

Three-course meal served to the tables, comprising a pre-ordered choice from:

 

Starters:

Greenway country-style chicken, apricot and pistachio terrine with mango chutney on a bed of leaves

Goats cheese and caramelised onion tart (V)

Prawn cocktail – king prawns in a classic Marie-Rose sauce with shredded lettuce, cucumber and paprika (V)

Cumin-spiced carrot and butternut squash soup (V)

 

Main Courses:

Classic oven-roasted turkey with all the trimmings – apricot and chestnut stuffing, pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce

Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce

Pan-fried salmon fillet with a lemon and dill sauce

Luxury three-nut roast with mushroom gravy and cranberry sauce (V)

All served with roast potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables

 

Desserts

Classic, home-made Christmas pudding with brandy cream (GF option available)

Traditional sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream

Old fashioned sherry trifle

Chocolate brownie with chocolate fudge sauce and ice cream

Deep-fried wedge of Brie served on a bed of mixed leaves with redcurrant sauce (V)

Prawn cocktail – king prawns in a classic Marie-Rose sauce with shredded lettuce and spring onion (V)

Cumin-spiced carrot and butternut squash soup (V)

 

Main Courses:

Classic oven-roasted turkey with all the trimmings – apricot and chestnut stuffing, pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce

Porchetta Wellington – Greenway pork tenderloin wrapped in chicken liver pate, spinach and prosciutto and encased in buttery shortcrust pastry

Grilled fish of the day with anchovy butter

Luxury three-nut roast with mushroom gravy and cranberry sauce (V)

All served with roast potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables
